The greatest love story ever told – Wine and Love Poems. Join us as we combine the two during a wine tasting and love poem workshop.
The Pennsylvania Market is teaming up with The Steel City Slam to present The Pittsburgh Poetry Collective: Love Poems and Wine Edition. We are excited to announce that Sarah Rose will be hosting a love poem workshop just in time for Valentines Day. Sarah Rose is a spoken word artist living on the sunny side of Pittsburgh. She has been writing poetry since 2015, and this is her first publication. She is ranked among the top slam poets in the city and has competed at the National Poetry Slam in Atlanta GA. She is a bad ass single mother of three humans who frequently eat all her favorite snacks and forget to flush the toilet. She has also notably appeared Main stage on National Public Radio’s, The Moth. Sarah Rose is on the board of the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective and manages Pittsburgh’s longest running poetry slam; The Steel City Slam. Sarah Rose’s poetry most frequently involves sad but humorous narratives about her journey through motherhood, revealing the complexity of the relationship with her body and her sexuality, and navigating past traumas.
Along with our special guest Sarah Rose, our onsite Sommelier Angela will be presenting you with a few wonderful tastings of wine from around the world!
Pair Sarah Rose’s assistance to help you create an amazing love poem for someone special with a few glasses of wine, something sweet to eat and a great atmosphere and you have yourself a perfect girls night out, pre-valentines day date, or simply just a wonderful night out. Please contact Erica at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-616-5544 for any questions regarding the event.
