Listed are Pittsburgh Poetry Collective sponsored and/or affiliated events. Venues hosting PPC events are provided our venue safety and accessibility guidelines. We ask everyone in our event spaces to respect each other, our volunteers, and venue employees. Any questions or concerns please contact us.
All events are currently being held remotely. Links are provided in the location column. Poetry & Pints and Open Mic and hangouts are following a two-round format with a break in between. As usual, poets may read poems on any subject or in any style they choose! Monthly workshops usually have a discussion or input time, writing time, and the opportunity to share drafts created. We’ve also been chatting, reading, show-and-tell-ing, and just making space for each other to check in during this weird time!! Just about anything goes! Online event guidelines HERE.
The Zoom link password is poetry. Host logon is about 10 minutes before the posted event time.

DISCLAIMER: The Steel City Slam and the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective are committed to maintaining free speech within our venues by the construction and preservation of a Brave Space. We do this by allowing expression for everyone present in the space. This means you may hear: mature language, mature themes, difficult and/or triggering content on our microphone. In our Brave Spaces, free speech ends when other people are silenced. If by words or behaviour someone advocates violence, threatens, harasses, or in some other way silences someone else, that is not protected in this space. We discourage the use of gendered and binary language and enforce positive mandatory consent. All participants in Pittsburgh Poetry Collective events are held to behaviour standards outlined in our values statement and release. We have a conflict resolution procedure in place. All of these policies are outlined HERE. Find us on meetup too!
PLEASE NOTE: events are subject to change. In the case of change or cancellation, the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective will provide updates as they become available.
